Charles Moore Minister of Music

In April 2004, Charles Moore relocated to Bentonville, Arkansas from Douglas, Georgia. After 14 years with the Georgia Mass Choir, Charles went on the search for a similar choir to be a part of. However, there was none. During the following year, God inspired Charles to put together a Mass Choir for the State of Arkansas. After many months of resistance to this idea, Charles decided to follow this inspiration. From November 2006 to February 2007, after many phone calls, emails and car trips across the state, the vision began to come together.
On March 17, 2007 the Arkansas Gospel Mass Choir held its first Workshop Concert at Valley Harvest Ministries in Bentonville. Approximately 132 voices came together from cities such as: Jonesboro, Fort Smith, Pine Bluff, Bentonville, Springdale, Fayetteville, Siloam Springs, Rogers and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since that time, a formal choir was organized under EMTRO Records.

The choir’s first CD “Hold on for Life” was released on September 23, 2008, with the hit single “I Lift My Hands” rising to #5 on the National Radio and Records chart. This CD allowed the choir to have a guest appearance at the International COGIC Convocation, The Bobby Jones Gospel Show on the Black Entertainment Network (B.E.T.), The Trumpet Awards which aired on TV One, and on the Victory Television Network (VTN).

In addition, the choir has been highlighted in 2 editions of the Arkansas Perspective Magazine and received several awards to include, the Arkansas Gospel Heritage Award, the Hallmark of Gospel Music Excellence award presented by Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe and voted as the Best Traditional CD at the Rhythm of Gospel Awards./p>
Not only does the choir perform at various churches across the country, we are also very involved in our community. Major community performances consist of the Wal-Mart Stores Inc. annual Shareholder’s Meeting, the annual NWA Juneteenth Celebration & Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday events, the Arkansas Gospel Announcers Guild Conference and Expo, the Hallelujah FM Radio Showcase, and the City of Bentonville “Christmas Tree Lighting”.
The second CD entitled “Live To Worship” was released on March 15, 2011 and our prayer is that it ministers to millions across the country.

We are honored to have such a skilled and humble Chief Worshipper here at New Millennium.
